Student Medication Authorization
Students may take medicine which is brought from home once a completed authorization form from the parent/guardian is on file, provided the conditions required by administrative procedures are met.
Except for medication sent to school by parents, internal medicine, including aspirin, shall not be provided by the school for the purpose of administering to pupils. Antiseptic and appropriate other emergency medications shall be maintained in the first aid kit.
A student may self-carry emergency medications once a completed authorization form from the parent and prescribing health care provider has been submitted and on file.
